"Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition" is by far the nerdiest thing ever posted to the Internet.
Please, please don't let anyone ruin this with a prequel.
Created by the (very nerdy) Digital Video students and faculty of the (very nerdy) University of Advancing Technology in (very nerdy) Tempe, Arizona (ok, maybe that's not as nerdy), this parody of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the style of Star Wars is a nice callback to the Internet days of yore when viral videos still catered to the Internet's earlier, geekier denizens.
Not that you have to be a big nerd to love Star Wars. Everyone loves Star Wars. Everyone loves "Bohemian Rhapsody." Not everyone, however, gets decked out in high-quality Star Wars costumes (including some really badass facial hair, the trash-room monster, green screens, a complete Cantina band, adorable kids, sexy lady costumes and a samurai Boba Fett) and does a full-length cover of the 5:55-long power ballad. Nerds do that. Big, big nerds.
And I am eternally grateful that they did. The only reason I've only watched this 4 times in a row instead of 20 is that I had to actually write this post. Short of joining an evangelical cult, this is the closest I'll ever get to having my virginity restored. I'm going back now. I hope you weren't planning on doing anything today.
