The most disastrous corporate tweet from last night's debate.
In case you can't tell, KitchenAid is implying that Obama's grandmother shuffled off her mortal coil to avoid his presidency.
Looks like whoever runs the KitchenAid Twitter account is a Romney fan — or just a fan of old ladies dying in general. This errant tweet went out after Obama mentioned his grandmother during the debate and, obviously, prompted an immediate backlash from people who don't appreciate when kitchen appliance companies mock the fleeting mortality of the elderly. Frankly, we're far more offended by the unnecessary use of obnoxious internet shorthand. Regardless, the social media blunder was egregious enough to result in no less than four apology tweets, which, on Twitter, qualifies as an emergency press conference.
