Play it for the kids before they get dropped off with whoever was awarded holiday visits.
This delightful children's song is part of the new album It's Okay to Do Stuff, a parody of Free To Be You And Me in honor of that classic album's 40th anniversary. Songs like this probably wouldn't be necessary anymore if we could just stop thinking of family in archaic terms as "a mommy, a daddy, and some kids," and start redefining the family unit as "something that completely and irreparably implodes when the kids are around six." Children already look forward to when they get to move out at 18, maybe we should train them to look forward to when Daddy moves in with his secretary when he's 41. It's time for them to accept the inevitable.
