So many people would have gotten sued if that had ended differently.
Dale Strickland's brother Chris deserves a medal, or at least a 3-minute interview on Today, after saving a baby in an amazing last-second catch. Chris is an employee at the Home Depot, a company that will hopefully be rewarding him handsomely with two-by-fours for life (or better!). The baby wasn't strapped into his or her car seat and the parent may not have realized you're not supposed to balance a car seat on top of a shopping cart (but you know that now...don't forget.)
This baby catching thing is seriously starting to feel like an epidemic. At least with that airport security guy, you had the feeling the baby would fall a couple of feet onto a soft-ish floor. I flinch every time I watch this because man, those Home Depot floors are concrete. That is one seriously lucky baby.
