Here's a story that takes the misery of holiday shopping and the challenges of holiday relationships and wraps it all up with a horrible little bow.
According to The Daily Mail, after Tao Hsiao, a man from the Jiangsu province of China had been shopping with his girlfriend for five hours, he demanded that they call it a day and go home. The girlfriend said she wanted to hit one more store. That was it for him.
The two started fighting loud enough for eyewitnesses to hear him complaining about the bags he was carrying. The girlfriend reportedly wanted to check out a deal on shoes, but an eyewitness told the Daily Mail, "'He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more."
The fight escalated and the man began tossing the shopping bags over the railing of the mall's upper level. Then he threw himself over and fell seven stories.
He was reportedly killed instantly. No other shoppers were hurt by his fall.
Holiday season's about to shift into high gear. Things are going to get out of hand, so everyone needs to breathe deep and take it easy. Keep a cool head, and it'll be January before you know it. Promise.
