17 years ago, a kid won a prize from Nestle for finding a rogue green candy. Nestle never delivered. Until now.
CORPORATE PR

The 'B' Account is for Oompa Loompa salaries.

James, a.k.a. redditor barnard555, had a bone to pick with Nestle. In 1996, he participated in a game they had where a rogue green Polo mint could be redeemed for 10 pounds. At 11, James was thrilled when he found a green mint, and he duly mailed in the candy to Nestle. He never heard back and forgot all about it, until one day he realized that lost 10 pounds might have changed his life.

So he sent them this letter:

Not to mention the lost interest.

And Nestle, like all caring, customer-focused corporations, saw a marketing opportunity and took it. They replied thusly:

Presumably, the additional 5 and a half pounds to account for inflation are forthcoming.

Nestle has a lot of redeeming themselves to do, but this is a start.
