In a few hours, the car will regurgitate both of them in pellet form.
Never before has the way mankind has usurped the order of nature been so elegantly and morbidly documented. On the plus side, owls are at least still around in Minnesota and in great enough numbers to have random encounters with humans. On the minus side, a new species from Korea, the predatory Kia, seems to be encroaching on their habitat. While we mourn the loss of this owl, we must first admire its tenacity in holding onto that mouse, and secondly thank it for the gift it has given us in the form of this photo. But seriously, screw that mouse.
